Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced the name of their newborn daughter on Instagram. The B-town couple have named their daughter as Dua Padukone Singh.
“Dua Padukone Singh | दुआ पादुकोण सिंह. ‘Dua’ : meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude. Deepika & Ranveer,” the couple posted on the social platform.
The picture shared by DeepVeer, as the couple is also called, shows the feet of the baby.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh first met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. The couple also shared screen space in the filmmaker’s historical drama Bajirao Mastani, also a hit.
Deepika Padukone is the daughter of badminton legend Prakash Padukone. She made her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan-directorial Om Shanti Om in 2007. Ranveer Singh made his debut in Maneesh Sharma’s Band Baaja Baraat in 2010.
Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in 2018. They last appeared together on silver screen in Kabir Khan’s 83. The film was based on Indian cricket team’s journey to victory in the 1983 cricket World Cup. Ranveer Singh played the role of Kapil Dev, while Deepika played the actor’s wife Romi.
