Netflix has announced that Spanish heist drama Bank Under Siege will release on your devices on November 8. The streaming platform recently unveiled the announcement teaser on various social media handles.
The action limited series is directed by Daniel Calparsoro and produced by Brutal Media. According to Netflix, Brutal Media produced original Killer book club, film Rosa Peral’s tapes, Welcome to Eden, Vintage and more.
Calparsoro is a Spanish filmmaker and is known for Blinded, The Warning, Salto al vacio and Combustion.
Bank Under Siege Netflix series plot
Netflix on its website had shared a brief synopsis of this heist drama. The show is about armed men storming the Central Bank of Barcelona and hold more than 200 hostages. The bank robbers threaten to kill the hostages if the Spanish government does not agree to their demands to free Colonel Tejero and three others in charge of the 23F. A journalist heads on a mission to unravel the real motive behind the heist.
Bank Under Siege Netflix series cast
The Netflix series features Miguel Herran, famous for his portrayal of a robber Anibal Cortes alias Rio in blockbuster show Money Heist. Bank Under Siege also features Maria Pedraza, who essayed the role of Alison Parker in Money Heist. She is also known for popular Spanish romantic drama film Amar, in which she was paired opposite Pol Monen.
Bank Under Siege will feature another Money Heist actor Hovik Keuchkerian, who had essayed the role of Bogota in the heist drama. In this series, he plays a journalist. He is also known for his role of Ojeda in Assassin’s Creed and Tabby in The Night Manager.
