The teaser shows Kumudha’s yearning for a child. “Just one dream. A small house, a husband to hold tight. A child to call me mom,” says Kumudha in the trailer.

The Test movie

The movie Test is a drama revolving around three individuals who intertwine beyond and because of cricket. The film marks the directorial debut of producer S Sashikanth.

““Having nurtured stories as a producer for years, stepping into the director’s chair for TEST was both exhilarating and deeply personal. This film is about resilience, the weight of choices, and how life itself is the greatest test of all,” Sashikanth was quoted in a Netflix statement as saying.

“TEST marks our first Tamil original feature film of 2025. It’s a deeply compelling drama thriller that tests the moral thresholds of its three protagonists, played by the powerhouse talents R. Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth,” Monika Shergill, vice-president, content, Netflix India, said in a statement.

Test movie cast and crew

As mentioned earlier, Test features Siddharth, R Madhavan and Nayanthara, along with Meera Jasmine. Siddharth plays a cricketer named Arjun, whose character was introduced by Netflix on Thursday.

Former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin had praised Siddharth’s on-screen avatar as a cricketer. Taking to Instagram, he wrote,”Watching @worldofsiddharth in “Test” feels like watching a cricketer who has spent years in the game. His technical understanding and love for the sport was evident through his prep and now seeing it all come alive on screen, I know this film is going to be something special for him. Wishing the team of Test all the success!”

R Madhavan essays the role of a scientist named Saravanan in the flick. “Science is trial and error. But this scientist’s struggle will test everyone he loves,” Netflix had wrote while sharing the teaser of his character.
