Earlier this year, Netflix had shared the teaser of The Greatest Rivalry – India vs Pakistan, but has not revealed the release date yet. But the first look was enough to generate massive buzz around the much-awaited docuseries.

The Greatest Rivalry – India vs Pakistan
Pakistan was carved out of India on August 14, 1947, a day before India became independent from British rule. The political tensions between the two countries is visible on the cricket field. An India vs Pakistan cricket encounter is not just a match.
The 22-yard strip has witnessed some of the greatest India vs Pakistan encounters, and the show seems to cover most of them. Recently, the two countries faced each other in the ICC Men’s World T20 tournament. The Men In Blue, as the Indian cricket team is referred to, defeated Pakistan in a low-scoring thriller.

The Men in Blue have won nine and lost three.
Bilateral cricket ties between the two countries have been suspended since the 2008 terrorist attack in Mumbai. However, India and Pakistan had played a 3-match ODI series in 2012. The last time an Indian cricket team visited Pakistan was for the Asia Cup in 2008, months before the Mumbai attacks.
