Deva teaser: Shahid Kapoor-starrer cop drama has adrenaline pumping action sequences

Shahid Kapoor is back on screen and will be seen as a badass cop in his upcoming film Deva. The teaser of the film was released moments ago and has become an instant hit among his fans.

The Zee Studio and Roy Kapur Films offering is helmed by Rosshan Andrrews, and will hit the theatres on January 31. Deva will face stiff competition with Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force, whose trailer was launched today.

The 52-second teaser shows Shahid Kapoor as a cop named Deva. As the promo suggests, the film also featuring Pooja Hegde is expected to have electrifying dance moves by the actor. Shahid will be seen in as an intense action hero, with his fight scenes expected to garner a lot of ‘seetis’ (whistles) from his admirers.

“Bawal.. Bgm Angry man,” a follower reacted to the teaser on YouTube, where it was shared.

Another user posted,”Shahid in rampage mode.”

Deva movie cast and crew

Besides Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde, Deva also features Pavail Gulatie, Pravessh Rana and Kubbra Sait. The film has been helmed by Rosshan Andrrews, known for Mohanlal’s  Udayananu Tharam. The music of the film has been composed by Vishal Mishra while Raj Shekhar has penned lyrics.

Shahid Kapoor’s recent and upcoming films

Shahid Kapoor’s recent release was Amit Joshi and Aradhana Shah’s science fiction romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The film featured him as a robotics engineer, Aryan Agnihotri, opposite Kriti Sanon, who played a robot named SIFRA.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya also featured Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, Rakesh Bedi, Rajesh Kumar, Anubha Fatehpuriya and Grussha Kapoor.

In 2023, Shahid Kapoor featured in Bloody Daddy, in which he played a Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer in Ali Abbas Zafar’s action film. The film also featured Diana Penty, Ronit Roy, Sanjay Kapoor, Rajeev Khandelwal, Ankur Bhatia and Vivan Bhatena.
