Ted Lasso Season 4: Jason Sudeikis-starrer Emmy Award-winning show renews for fourth season

If you are a Ted Lasso fan, here’s some great news for you. Apple TV has announced that the Jason Sudeikis will reprise his acclaimed role of football coach Ted Lasso for the fourth season.

“As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap. In season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be,” Sudeikis, also the executive producer of the show, said in a statement released by Apple.

“‘Ted Lasso’ has been nothing short of a juggernaut, inspiring a passionate fanbase all over the world, and delivering endless joy and laughter, all while spreading kindness, compassion and unwavering belief. Everyone at Apple is thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with Jason and the brilliant creative minds behind this show,” Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, said.

Ted Lasso plot

Ted Lasso is an American sports television series developed by Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt, and Joe Kelly. The show features an American college football coach Ted Lasso who is hired to coach an English soccer team. The team’s owner secretly hopes that Lasso’s inexperience will lead to the team’s failure.

The show’s first season aired on Apple TV in 2020, followed by the second season in 2021 and the third season in 2023.

As mentioned earlier, Jason Sudeikis is essaying the lead role of Ted Lasso. Hannah Waddingham essays the role of Rebecca Welton, the new owner of AFC Richmond. She hires Lasso to sabotage the team, but later has a change of heart and appreciates him.

Also featuring in the show are Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, Brendan Hunt, Juno Temple, Nick Mohammed, Sarah Niles and others.
