Music maestro A R Rahman was hospitalised on Sunday. His son Ameen took to Instagram, sharing that his father had to be admitted to hospital as he felt weak due to dehydration. The Academy award winning composer was later discharged,
“To all our dear fans, family, and well-wishers, I sincerely thank you for your love, prayers and support. My father felt a bit weak due to dehydration hence we went ahead and did some routine tests, but I’m happy to share that he is doing well now. Your kind words and blessings mean a lot to us. We appreciate your concern and continued support. Much love and gratitude to you all!” Ameen shared in an Instagram story.
Later, he shared a statement from Apollo Hospital, Chennai, which said that Rahman had been discharged.
According to a Times of India report, Rahman’s sister Fathima said,”AR Rahman was extremely fatigued due to continuous travels. The medical tests were conducted as a precautionary measure. His health is currently stable, and there is nothing to be alarmed about.”

Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin posted on X,”As soon as I heard the news that Isaipuyal @arrahman had been admitted to the hospital due to ill health, I contacted the doctors and inquired about his health! They said he is fine and will be back home soon! Happy!”
