Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh on Sunday announced the arrival of their baby girl in an Instagram post. The B-town couple shared a poster on Instagram which read, “Welcome Baby Girl. 8.9.2024. Deepika and Ranveer”.
The couple’s Instagram post was flooded with congratulatory wishes from both the peers in the industry and fans.
Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shraddha Kapoor, Sunil Grover, Sharvari, Bhumi Pednekar were among the stars who wished Deepika and Ranveer.
“Laxmi aayi hai!! The queen is here!!” Arjun Kapoor posted.
“Congratulations mommy and daddy from <3 <3 from saifu and Beboo….God bless the little angel <3,” Kareena Kapoor Khan wrote.
Harrdy Sandhu, who shared the screen space with both Ranveer and Deepika in 83, too congratulated the new parents.
In February this year, the actors announced their pregnancy, saying that they expected the baby’s arrival in September.
Deepika was admitted to a Mumbai hospital on Saturday. The 38-year-old actor and her husband were photographed offering prayers at the Siddhivinayak Temple on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh first met each other on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela. The 2013 romantic tragedy drama turned out to be a commercial success.
The duo then teamed up again in the filmmaker’s Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. In 2018, Ranveer and Deepika tied the knot at Lake Como in Italy.
Deepika and Ranveer also shared screen space in Kabir Khan’s 83, wherein the 39-year-old actor essayed the role of Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev.

Deepika Padukone will be next seen in Rohit Shetty’s much-anticipated Singham 3, the third film of the superhit franchise. The actor has been already introduced as a cop ‘Shakti Shetty’.
The cop drama will see Ajay Devgn reprise his role of supercop Bajirao Singham. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tiger Shroff will also feature in the film.
Akshay Kumar, who played DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, in 2021 hit Sooryavanshi is expected to make a cameo appearance. Ranveer Singh, who played Sangram Bhaleroa aka Simmba in Shetty’s 2018 hit Simmba, also has a cameo. Singham 3 is slated to be released around Diwali this year.
