Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina-starrer Jigra’s teaser trailer is now out. Directed by Vasan Bala, the action thriller revolves around a woman out to save her brother against injustice. Upon the trailer’s release, the film has already generated a lot of buzz and is among the most awaited films in the upcoming festive season.

The trailer begins with an intense Alia narrating hardships in her early days. After losing her parents, she and her brother had to live with a distant relative, who charged ‘heavy rent’. Cutting the story short, she tells one Bhatia ji, “Kahani Bahut Lambi Hai aur Bhai Ke Paas Waqt Bahut Kam (It is a long story and my brother has little time)”.
In the trailer, we get to see the bond between the two siblings played by Alia and Vedang. Alia’s character is determined to fight for justice and save her brother. A scene most talked about is the conversation between Alia’s character and Manoj Pahwa.
The veteran actor is heard saying,”Bachchan Nahi Banna Hai, Bachke Nikalna Hai (Time to run, not to be a hero)”. To which, a ferocious Alia says,”Ab to Bachchan Hi Banna Hai (It’s time to be hero).”
As the Jigra movie trailer suggests, the film has a lot of action scenes and has already generated a lot of excitement among film buffs, particularly Alia’s fans.
Jigra release date
Jigra will release across theatres on October 11, 2024. The film is being produced by Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shaheen Bhatt and Somen Mishra. Dharma Productions, Alia’s Eternal Sunshine Productions and Viacom18 Pictures have made the film. Jigra is Alia’s second production venture after Darlings which streamed on Netflix in 2022.

The film features Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in leading roles, who play siblings. Raina made his debut as Reggie Mantle in Zoya Akhtar’s Archies last year. The film also features Manoj Pahwa in a pivotal role.
